This site is designed to be a resource for writing program administrators (WPAs) who wish to assess how well their programs and courses are aligned with program and institutional goals, as well as how individual courses and assignments are working to fit within these goals. This site defines constructive alignment, outlines how it is especially useful for WPAs, and includes examples of constructive alignment in a hypothetical writing program. I have also created a guide for WPAs who are creating or assessing their programs and curriculums. Whether you are a new WPA building a curriculum from the ground up, an experienced WPA looking to assess your program, or an instructor thinking about your own courses, I hope these resources will be helpful.
